ITA M: Vincenzo Mastrangelo Steps Down as Coach of Gioiella Prisma Taranto; Ljubo Travica Tipped as Successor

Italian SuperLega team Prisma Taranto officially announced a significant change in their coaching lineup for the 2023/2024 Men’s SuperLega season. The club has parted ways with Vincenzo Mastrangelo, who will no longer serve as the team’s head coach.

In a recent update from an Italian volleyball news website volleyball.it, it has been revealed that the experienced expert Ljubo Travica is set to become the new head coach for Prisma Taranto. Travica’s coaching career boasts a diverse international experience, having guided teams in several countries. After stint in Italy, Travica coached in Poland with Resovia, then moved to Qatar to lead Al Rayyan, El Jaish and Al Arabi. In the 2016/17 season, he took the helm in Iran with Urmia, followed by a stint in Russia with Krasnoyarsk during the 2018/19 season. Most recently, Travica has been coaching in Tunisia with Esperance Sportive de Tunis for the past three seasons.
