Italy Maintains Roster from Ljubljana Tournament for Volleyball Nations League Finals

Italy’s national team will retain the same roster for the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Finals in Lodz as they had during the matches in Ljubljana. The team, led by Ferdinando De Giorgi, finished the group stage in third place and will face France in the quarterfinals on June 28.

Notably, eight key players, including Alessandro Michieletto, Simone Giannelli and Yuri Romano, will not participate as they prepare for the Olympics. The roster for the VNL Finals includes:

  • Setters: Paolo Porro, Riccardo Sbertoli
  • Opposites: Alessandro Bovolenta, Fabrizio Gironi
  • Middle Blockers: Edoardo Caneschi, Leandro Mosca, Giovanni Sanguinetti
  • Outside Hitters: Mattia Bottolo, Davide Gardini, Luca Porro, Francesco Recine, Tommaso Rinaldi
  • Liberos: Marco Gaggini, Gabriele Lorenzano
