Hierrezuelo will be accompanied by an opposite Fernando Hernández Ramos, a true „bomber“ of Cuban national team.
In 2011 he performed well in the World League. In the same year, he was announced as the Best Spiker at Pan American Games and as the Best Scorer at the World Cup with 225 points (20.5 per game).
Interestingly, Molfetta will gain a true tandem as Hierrezuelo and Hernández were a winning combination, off and on the field.
In 2010, when Cuba became world vice-champion, „The double H“ duo was unstoppable until the final match vs. Brazil.
In the last two seasons, Hernández starred in the Japanese league with JTEKT Stings.
