Bonitta was waiting for the final training before the beginning of a tournament to reveal roster because he had dilemma regarding the middle blocker Cristina Chirichella.
He positively evaluated the possibility of using her in Ankara after she sustained bizarre injury during New Year’s celebration.
Not only that Bonitta decided to keep Chirichella, but he also kept the player that he summoned to replace her, Sara Bonifacio. It means that Italy will perform in the Turkish capital with four blockers.
The player that was crossed out from a wide list was receiver/outside hitter Anastasia Guerra.
The first match of Italy’s National Team at the Qualifiers will take place on Tuesday, January 5, against Russia.
