Lube Banca Marche Macerata plays in Pool D with Asse-Lennik, ACH Volley Lljubljana and Generali Unterhaching.
“It’s not a tough group considering the logistics. But for the technical facts I do not know what to say, I would like to know all the facts first, and after viewing our opponents. In the present state of things, it seems to me that the Unterhaching is the most feared, given the transfer market where they made a squad that also includes four athletes who played in the Italian championship (among Raymaekers and Snippe). Our primary goal is the first place in the group, to defeat those that have greater resources available.”
“Our greatest desire is to win the trophy, and will do our best to achieve that. We are a strong team. We’ll see” Alberto Giuliani said.
On the same wavelength was the sports director Stefano Recine: “This competition has reached a very high level for the quality of the participating teams. This is a great opportunity for us.“
Cucine Lube Banca Marche participates in the CEV Volleyball Champions League for the seventh time in its history. In previous participations they reached the Final Four three times (2002, 2007 and 2009), winning the trophy on the first occasion (2002 in Opole, Poland).
