You will not see very often that two rivals from the same league agree not to negotiate with each other’s players or coaches. The two Italian men’s volleyball clubs, Azimut Modena and Revivre Milano, issued a joint statement to put an end to rumors regarding coach Andrea Giani.

Giani will remain the head coach of Milano in the 2018/19. That is what Milano, his current club, and Modena, a club to which Giani was connected for the next season through the media, said in the joint statement.

Modena president Catia Pedrini and Milano head Lucio Fusaro did not want to spoil a friendship based on common values, volleyball.it transferred their note.

„Modena and Milano have the common intent of keeping the SuperLega project up and helping the development of volleyball in Italy. Catia Pedrini and Lucio Fusaro are two philanthropic presidents with no personal interest other than the sporting ones who will continue to work in harmony with a ’sporting rivalry’ that will never affect mutual esteem,“ it was stated in a mutual statement.
