Korea Expressway Corporation secured a place in the Korean V-league playoffs finals after winning two consecutive games against Hyundai E&C Hillstate in the semifinals series.
The team was led by Jeong-Ah Park, who scored 21 points and was the top scorer of the match, while Katherine Bell contributed 19 points. However, Hyundai E&C Hillstate’s performance was affected by injurie of Ivonne Montaño, who tried but was unable to play. Korea Expressway Corporation defeated Hyundai E&C Hillstate 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-17).
Playoff Formula: The first goes directly to the final (best-of-five format); the second will advance in the semifinal (best-of-three format); the third goes to the semifinals if the difference between the fourth placed team is greater than 3 points, otherwise the third and fourth placed teams will face each other in a one match to decide the second semifinalist.
Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders and Korea Expressway Hi-Pass will face off in the first final playoff match on March 29th, with the series following a best-of-five format.
