CHN W: Beijing take the lead in the finals

by WoV

The reigning champions Tianjin didn’t start the women’s Chinese championship in a good way.

Beijing

Beijing

Beijing have managed to beat them in five sets and to take the lead in the finals 3-2 (25-22, 27-25, 21-25, 20-25, 18-16).

Actually, the reigning champions were very close to make a complete turnaround but in the tie-break, they didn’t have enough power to win the game.

Rachael Rourke was the most dominant player in Beijing with 27 points, Tori Dixon added 10. However, Li Ying Ying had an absolutely amazing performance, scoring 42 points. Aleksandra Crncevic played only in the first set and we are unsure about why she left the court.

Women’s Chinese league, playoff finals, game 1:

Tianjin – Beijing 2-3 (22-25, 25-27, 25-21, 25-20, 16-18)
