Round 2 of the 2019/20 Super League was to start today, but because the country is affected by the coronavirus outbreak, it was postponed with the new date yet to be determined. Round 1 was held on January 19 with Henan, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Bayi, and Shandong being victorious.

The Chinese Volleyball Association (CVA) hasn’t yet issued a statement regarding the postponement of Round 2 games nor regarding the date of the resumption of the competition. Due to the outbreak of the new virus that officially begun on January 7 and killed over 300 people across China so far, many foreign players that were hired by the Super League clubs have left the country.
