Precisely one of the pools of European volleyball players will be played in Zadar, from 19-26 August.
Under the guidance of the best club coach in the world, because he is the current European and world champion with the Italian Imoco Conegliano, volleyball players of Croatia gathered for the first official exam following the first tournament of the Golden European League in the Czech Republic from 28-30 May.
Along with the Santarelli coach in Zadar, there is also his professional staff consisting of Italian experts: Diego Flisi (women’s team Azzura Volleybal and technical coordinator of volleyball Prealps Pool), Daniele Alpi (Turkish Airlines), Francesco Zucca (physiotherapist of volleyball Modena), Marko Greco volley and UsTorri and scout (Union Volley Montecchio Maggiore) and Simone Truzzi (Pallavolo Peschiera and Quadrivolley), along with former Croatian national team member and international Mirela Delić, coach of OK Split, as Santarelli’s assistant.
There are currently 12 players in the preparations in Zadar: Nikolina Božičević, Laura Miloš, Lucija Mlinar, Katarina Pavičić, Rene Sain, Matea Ikić, Karla Perić, Božana Butigan, Andrea Mihaljević, Lea Deak, Ema Strunjak and Martina Šamadan. Also missing are captain Samanta Fabris, who is undergoing some therapy after a busy season, and Beta Dumančić, recovering from the recently acquired Covid 19 virus.
