Posojilnica Aich/Dob already qualified as the Austrian champion, this means that Austria will have two teams in the Champions League next season.
Hannes Kronthaler commented: “After 7 years in the Champions League we are very pleased that we have been awarded the wild card and will play again in the strongest league in Europe. We see this as a great opportunity and as a further step in the development of our team and the Austrian volleyball.“
Three teams gave up their spot in the Champions League, one from Greece, Spain and Serbia, and CEV issued a total of five wild cards.
