Puerto Rico played a resilient match against the United States in five sets. The team coached by David Aleman won 16-25, 25-16, 26-28, 27-25 and 17-15.

A total of five Puerto Rican players recorded double digit: Ezequiel Cruz (24), Mannix Roman (17), Roberto Muñiz (14), Sequiel Sánchez (13) and Jean Carlos Ortiz (12).

Taylor Sander scored 21, William Price 19 and Daniel McDonnell 10 for USA that will play for fifth place against Dominican Republic.

In semis, Puerto Rico will play against Brazil, while Argentina will try to beat Mexico for finals.
