According to this source, Ghoncheh Ghavami is now facing charges of spying that carry a potential six-year prison sentence. She has already spent five months in jail, but Iranian Government apparently now intends to charge her with endangering national security.

Recall that her lawyer has stated recently that Ghoncheh Ghavami was sentenced to a year in prison, but then spokesman of the Iran’s judiciary denied that any verdict has been reached. Now Iran’s judiciary announced that Miss Ghavami is being held in prison for security reasons and over “links with foreigners”.

And what with iranian players? All volleyball world support Ghavami while iranian players are silent. It is look like they support the government and agreed for this.

No ticket were sold to women but she did go to the stadium she knew that she would not be allowed to enter and then she had tried to disturb the secutity by stimulating people against security forces, i dont mean women should not be allowed to watch volleyball, THEY SHOULD watch and i support that but this lady did a crime, but im sure daily mail report is not true she will be freed soon,we should not watch everything from on side

@BlueRedWhite: OK, she disobeyed some Iranian rules, but I still don’t see any political message in her act. It was just a civil disobedience and nothing else. As far as I’m concerned, any punishment will be direct violation of basic human rights.
