Khimik Yuzhny Odessa confidently won the title in Ukraine, for the fifth time in a row.

Two more rounds are left to be played in Ukrainian championship, but after it beat Orbita-ZMTK-ZNU Zaporozhia by 3-0 (25-18, 25-7, 25-23), Khimik became inaccessible to the nearest pursuer, Severodonchanka Severodonetsk.

By becoming the champion for the 5th consecutive time, the team coached by Sergey Golotov made an Ukrainian record, since no other team previously managed to make such a stunt.

Recall, this season, Kihimik already won national Cup and participated in the semifinals of the Challenge Cup where it was eliminated by the Russian Uralochka-NTMK Sverdlovskaya oblast.
