World League’s returnee Greece trailed by 0-2 in sets against the hosts Mexico, but pulled off to score a two-point win before its second clash in the tournament to be played tomorrow.
The decisive factor in the Greek national team was a substitute, Athanasios Protopsaltis, with 17 points.
The same thing occured in the second Pool G game, in Slovakia, between the hosts and China.
Chinese players made the 4-1 run in the tie-break on a 10-10 result and started to prepare for its next battle on June 14 with 2 points in its pocket.
Zhang Chen and Dai Qingyao each scored 14 points for China while Milan Bencz was the highlight in Slovakia with 18.
