Despite losing the big final of the World League Group 2, head coach of Bulgaria Plamen Konstantinov stated that he can be satisfied with the beginning of the summer campaign for his team.

Konstantinov said for local media that he believes in this team and that the whole country should support these players.

“In just two months we managed to return hope to our volleyball fans. So we cannot think of this loss as it is the end of the world. I believe in this team and I can see that more and more people are thinking the same way. We are still not among the best teams in the world. Bulgaria has only 80 registered clubs, while for example Italy has 4.100. We have 500 players which can be called in the national team, while Italy has 415.000. That is a huge difference, as we do not have enough volleyball players. But, we have a good base and a good team, and I am convinced it will continue to grow” said Konstantinov.
