On the other hand, Nicaragua claimed their ticket to the second round after beating Belize 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 26-24).
David Mayorga was the most effective man of the match, giving 13 points to Nicaragua. His teammate Tito Valdivia scored 12 points and Lester Martinez and Kenneth Sevilla scored 8 each. On the side of Belize, Jason Campbell and Elton Moore became 8 per head.
