Four teams F.Y.R. of Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Turkey were participated to the Championship. Both Serbia and Turkey won their first two matches against Romania and F.Y.R. of Macedonia. In the final day of the tournament, Serbia and Turkey faced with each other to win the first Balkan Pre-Youth Girls Championship. Host country Turkey edged Serbia 3-0 with sets 25-16, 25-18 and 25-19 and crowned on their home soil.
The other match was played between Romania and F.Y.R. of Macedonia. Romania passed F.Y.R. of Macedonia 3-0 with sets 25-19, 25-9 and 25-15 and finished the tournament in the third place.
