Three candidates – two from Sudan and one from Uganda – did not arrive due to transport problems, but the remaining group consists of referees from Africa, Asia and Europe, and includes five women.
The course started August 28 with an opening ceremony attended by the president of Sudan’s volleyball federation, the president of CAVB’s 5th zone, the president of the Khartoum development Centre, a representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the director of Sport Management.
Sudanese television and sports journalists covered the opening.
