It was a high pressure game for Egypt since Iran needed to win one set in Sunday’s second game, also in Cairo, to advance to a playoff with Japan for a place in next year’s edition of the World League. Both teams tried their best and in the end Iran won. Egypt – Iran 1:3 (17:25, 30:28, 17:25, 22:25).
