The Japanese side still has no win at the FIVB Women’s Club World Championship 2016. Nagaoka thinks that her team played only one good set at the tournament.

“We couldn’t make our moves today and because of that we couldn’t show our real skills. We have to improve our game. Yesterday, we played one good set against Vakifbank, but that set should be our minimum. From that we have to start building up our game.”

Miyu Nagaoka is already a true star of Japanese volleyball, while she has spent her entire career in her home country. That is why we asked her if she considers playing in some of the European leagues in future?

“Maybe one day. Firstly I want to collect more experience by playing in Japanese League. Then, everything is possible.”
