They failed to complete one of the two announced transfer bombs for the summer but not the other one: a 25-year-old France National Team starter Boyer signed the contract with the Polish champions Jastrzębski, which will be valid for the next two seasons.

The opposite hitter, who won the 2017 FIVB World League with the ‘Les Bleus’, spent the last season in as many as three clubs: Italy’s NBV Verona and Al Arabi SC, and Al Rayyan SC in Qatar. Boyer is considered one of the best players in his position in the world at the moment, having awarded the Best Opposite Spiker in the French Championship twice and MVP once.
