The management of Legionovia announced the withdrawal of the team from the TAURON Liga. The reason for this decision was the financial problems in which the club fell. Son, now, 11 teams remain in the competition, and the matches played so far by the Legionowo side (they lost all 10 they took part in) and their results have been erased.

The Legionovia’s problems had already started during the last season, and they were close to making the decision not to start in 2022–23. After the club’s decision to withdraw from the Polish top division, the players who had contracts with the team found themselves in a difficult situation. According to the players’ statements to the media, Legionovia have several months’ worth of arrears toward them. Some players, such as Aleksandra Dudek and Puerto Rican Neira Ortiz, had no intention of waiting for Legionovia’s eventual financial recovery and had already lifted the anchor from them earlier.
