POL M: Giba – “Winning against the world champion three times is not a fluke”

“If someone wins three times against the current world champion, it has the right to stream to the highest goals” Brazil captain Giba said about the Polish national team. White-red took the first place in Group B of the World league and advanced to the final tournament to be held July 4-8 in Sofia. Coach Anastasi’s team is the first to qualify, along with them, the host Bulgaria.

Poland scored ten wins in four tournaments. It won all the matches in Katowice and Tampere.  It only lost to Finland in Toronto and Brazil in Sao Bernardo do Campo.  “During the contest in groups Polish play was excellent. Promotion of this team to the Final Six was deserved. They’ve defeated the current world champion three times , and it shows  the possibilities and the class of Polish volleyball players. They have the right to stream to the highest goals” the famous Brazilian said.

Polish men’s national volleyball team returned home from the last tournament in Tampere on Monday. Players received a few days off from coach Anastasi. On Friday evening, they will meet at the training camp Spale.
