Emanuele Zanini will be at helm of Warta in the new season which will be his 18th in career as first coach, including both club competition and national team level. So far, he has never coached any Polish club.

A 52-year-old Zanini led some famous Men’s teams like Sir Safety Perugia, Calzedonia Verona and Azimut Modena earlier as well as Men’s national teams of Slovakia and Turkey, which was his last professional engagement (2013-2016) before taking over Warta.

Zanini was one-time Austrian champion and Cup winner (with Hypo Tirol Volleyballteam in 2004/2005) and two-time CEV European League gold medalist (with Slovakian NT in 2008 and 20011).

By signing with Warta, he became the first-ever foreign coach of this club while the coach that managed to win the promotion to the PlusLiga, Dominik Kwapisiewicz, will take the role of Zanini’s assistant.
