RUS W: So inappropriate – head coach of Lipetsk youth team hits and pulls her own player (VIDEO)

by WoV

The head coach of Lipetsk crossed all boundaries of sportsmanlike behavior in a recent match of the Russian women’s youth league.

A video in which the head coach of the Lipetsk youth team (Lipetsk-2) Lyudmila Stepanova harassed one of her players on a timeout became viral. She first hit the girl on the shoulder and then pulled her by the hair. The player in question is a 20-year-old setter Ekaterina Ilyina, whose talent was recognized by the club so she’s a member of the youth and senior squad at the same time.

The unpleasant episode took place in the match against the youth team of Dinamo Krasnodar (Dinamo-TSOP) in Krasnoyarsk on January 20, but the video has only just appeared. The 46-year-old Stepanova has been heading the Lipetsk youth team since 2018.

This video came just a few days after the one from the Italian Division 2 in which a head coach (a man) hit his own player (a woman)
