USA coach John Speraw: “We had a very emotional match yesterday and we could not bring the same focus and energy to the match today. I should admit Russia were much stronger today and we did not manage to beat them.”
Russia captain Sergey Makarov: “This victory was very important for us, we corrected the mistakes we did yesterday. We were determined to win this and we did.”
Russia coach Andrey Voronkov: “USA were not able to cope with our serving and block today, we dominated in attack and played almost without errors. These two tight matches made us stronger.”
