Sergey Tyutlin wants to become Russian citizen! He was born in Ukraine, but he’s been playing volleyball in Russia for the last two years. Recently, he has joined Ural Ufa, and there is a possibility that he could play for his new club as a domestic player in future.
“There is a desire to get Russian citizenship and I am working on it. I hope that I will soon become a citizen of Russia” said Tyutlin for the official website of Ural Ufa.
Certainly the most famous player from Ukraine who went down the same path is Dmitriy Muserskiy. He received Russian citizenship, started playing for the Russian national team and he is nowadays one of the best middle blockers in the world.

M236@ … and Brazil, and USA etc. Who cares?
Russia not use foreign players!!! Because Ukraine is Russia!!!
he is getting citizenship to enable his club to get foreign players since there is a limit in Russian league for foreign players , this guy will never play for Russia since he has already played many matches for Ukraine (recently in summer University games ) getting citizenship does not mean he is now playing for Russia ,
