The French squad surprised their rivals by performing traditional Russian song “Kalinka” at the dinner just after the finals. It was one of the best example of sportsmanship in the history of this game.
“I really admire their gesture. Well done boys! I have worked with them for many years, and they have once again confirmed friendly relations between our two teams,” said Vladimir Alekno, head coach of Russia.
