Vojvodina – Novi Pazar
The final series starts on Thursday, April 5 and will be played in three victories. The first two matches (April 5 and 9) will be played in Novi Sad, and the finals then will move to Novi Pazar (April 12). The eventual fourth game would be played on April 15th in Novi Pazar and fifth on April 19th in Novi Sad.
The title holders Vojvodina NS Seme, who finished regular part of the championship in the first place, came to the end of the championship after a dramatic four match games which were played against this year’s cup finalist Crvena zvezda. After an easy triumph in the first match, the players of Nedzad Osmankac in the second match came a lot more relaxed and Crvena zvezda took advantage and won 3: 1. In next semi-final matches, Vojvodina succeed to consolidate and to end this series in their favor with total 3: 1 in victories.
On the other side, the double winner of the Serbian Cup and the winner of the Super Cup Novi Pazar had a slightly easier task than Vojvodina, and after two victories of 3: 0 on the home court against Spartak Subotica they verified the visa for the final in the third game on the north of the country by winning home team Spartak in five sets, 3: 2.
The wishes of both coaches are that their team lift the Super League championship trophy.
Coach of red and whites Nedzad Osmankac said that his players are ready for the final and to defend the title they won last year, while his colleague Novi Pazar’s coach Hamza Zatric said his team is physically and psychologically ready to win the first title of the country’s champions in the club’s history.
