Ziraat Bankkart were better than Arkas Spor in the top match at the closing of the sixth round of the 2021/22 Turkish Men’s Volleyball Championship.
Ziraat got themselves the fifth win in a row in the 2021/22 AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi and did it over another title contender, Arkas. The Ankara side prevailed in four sets on the road, inflicting the second defeat in a row to Arkas in the competition with which the team from Izmir spoiled the great start to the season consisting of four successive victories. The Dutchman Wouter Ter Maat staged a masterly display with 35 points. Bedirhan Bülbül and Faik Samed Güneş set up five blocks apiece.
Avşar Maden Suyu Afyon Bld. Yüntaş recorded an inaugural triumph this season, beating Tokat Bld. Plevne 3-1. Cansın Ogbai Enaboifo top-scored the winning side with 24 points and had 76% reception (25 digs, two errors, 44% perfect). Ediz Kaan Fırıncıoğlu made five blocks.
