The vice-champions of the Brazilian Men’s Volleyball Championship, Fiat/Gerdau/Minas, will have to pay the contract of Maurício Souza.
According to what Bruno Voloch reported in his blog, Minas, after the decision to fire the Olympic champion Maurício Souza for his viewpoints on social media, which were considered homophobic, will have to pay the player his salary until the end of his contract (May 2022).
The experienced middle blocker was to earn about 600,000 Brazilian reals (just over 90,000 euros) on basis of his formal contract and image rights.
