Prior to the last round of the regular season in the 2021/22 Turkish Men’s Volleyball Championship, played today, there was only one dilemma regarding the playoff line-up.
The most anticipated outcome of today’s last round, Round 26, of the 2021/22 AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi regular season was regarding the No. 4 for the playoffs, the only slot that remained vacant. The last qualifier for the post-season is Arkas Spor. The İzmir side didn’t miss a chance to take the 4th place, sweeping Allpower Akü Cizre Bld. on the road. This means that Spor Toto, who had theoretical odds for overtaking this slot, will play the comfort playoffs, between 5th and 8th place.
The situation remained unchanged in the fight for 2nd place: Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta defeated Halkbank (mathematically secured the top spot a few rounds back) in a derby with a score of 3-1 and maintained the 2-point advantage over titleholders Ziraat Bankkart (also successful today).
