The atmosphere between the prominent Serbian expert Zoran Terzić and some of his players from the Turkish women’s club volleyball vice-champions, Fenerbahçe Opet, is definitely not good.
Zoran Terzić lost his temper during the match of the eighth round of the 2022–23 Misli.com Sultanlar Ligi. This Saturday, in addition to the defeat of Fenerbahçe by Kuzeyboru, the Serbian expert’s attitude generated many questions among the fans.
A camera from the local TV broadcast showed a prominent coach pushing his setter, Buse Ünal, and preventing her from entering the court, where she was supposed to make a substitution. Apparently, Terzić was initially irritated with the Brazilian Ana Cristina. The pair were called for a double change, but the outside hitter was still wearing a sweatshirt when she approached the current Russia Women’s National Team head coach to hear some instruction. Ana Cristina even suggested to Buse, with a touch on the arm, to go first to complete the substitution, but the setter was then prevented from moving forward by Terzić, who kept gesticulating and complaining.
Things aren’t looking good for the title contenders from Istanbul in 2022-23 as they already suffered three defeats in eight rounds of the Turkish Championship this season.
