According to Greek sports portal gavros.gr, Slovenian opposite Tonček Štern, renowned for his exceptional performances in the VNL and the Olympics, is set to transfer to Turkish powerhouse ZiraatBank Ankara despite having recently extended his contract with Olympiacos. The lucrative offer from the Turkish club has enticed the 28-year-old, who will now bolster their squad for the upcoming season.

To fill Štern’s vacated spot at Olympiacos, the Greek team is reportedly acquiring Serbian opposite Aleksandar Atanasijević, who previously played in China. Atanasijević, a 32-year-old with a distinguished career that includes stints with Partizan, Skra Bełchatów, and Perugia, was the top scorer in the Chinese league last season. His addition is anticipated to be a significant boost for Olympiacos as they prepare for the new season.
