You have already won the CEV Champions League, back in 2010 with Bergamo. Therefore, our first question is – What does a team need to win such an important tournament?
“I remember very well that trophy from 2010. It was amazing! It was so exciting and definitely one of the best emotions I have ever experienced in my career! We need to focus on our goal and to help each other in any moment during the game. Team play is so important.”
Fenerbahce will face a local rival VakifBank in the Semi-Finals. What can you say about Vakif?
“VakifBank is for sure one of the best teams in the world! They have good block and defense and a very good serve. It will be very difficult for us, but, we are also one of the best teams! Fener and Vakif have beaten the top teams in Europe to qualify for the F4.”
What might be the decisive factor in the semifinal game?
“I think the decisive factor will be the approach to the game and the ability of each team to change their tactics during the match.”
The F4 will take place in Italy, your home country. Will that add some special emotions to your game?
“I’m so happy and proud to play this F4 in Italy. I can’t wait to be there! Italy can organize a very good event and I’m very excited to be part of the most important tournament in Europe.”
