No.2 Arkas outplayed No.6 Galatasaray on the road in Game 1 of the 2017-2018 Efeler Ligi playoff semifinals harder than expected, 3-1 (25-17, 25-23, 19-25, 25-22).
An 18-year-old Turkish prospect Adis Lagumdžija shone in the win of Arkas as he poured in 23 points. Mustafa Koç set up 7 kill blocks, while libero Burak Mert made 75% reception (16 digs, 56% perfect). The Ugandian Daudi Okello topped sensational semifinalists Galatasaray with 23 points.
Game 2 of the best-of-three semifinal series is scheduled for March 24.
Halkbank opened their semifinals against İstanbul BBSK with a four-set win as well.
