Vakifbank TTelekom ISTANBUL stopped the winning streak of France’s RC CANNES tonight at “Burhan Felek” Volleyball Hall by downing the side from the French Riviera in straight sets (25-23, 25-21, 25-11) in the first round of action for the 1/4 finals of the 2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League – Women with a crowd of more than 3’700 fans in attendance.

“I could not imagine we could have won with such a clear result” commented Vakifbank head coach Giovanni Guidetti. “My team delivered a perfect performance today, we did not make any mistakes and I am really satisfied”.
“We delivered a great job tonight but this is not the end yet. We have to play even better next week in front of a huge crowd in Cannes. I am proud of being the captain of such a competitive team” stresses Sonsirma Kirdar.
