Acqua Paradiso MONZA of Italy claimed on Wednesday night a speedy away win over the home guys of Seat Volley NÄFELS (25-23, 25-22, 25-21) in the 1/8 finals of the 2012 CEV Volleyball Cup – Men. Mauro Gavotto was voted MVP of this game; the return is set to take place next December 21 at “PalaIper” in Monza.

“We expected a neat victory tonight” says Italian head coach Emanuele Zanini, “and so it was. Our players played with good consistency, remaining focused and humble all the way through. Our opponent has got an experienced setter and was evidently helped by the home advantage. We are already waiting for the return coming up next week as we want to qualify for the next round of the competition” he concludes.
