Korean volleyball star Kim Yeon-Koung attended a commemoration for the victims of the Sewol ferry sinking which was held in her hometown Ansan on the second anniversary of the disaster.
She expressed her condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the victims.
The sinking of Sewol occurred on the morning of April 16, 2014 en route from Incheon to Jeju in Korea. The ferry capsized while carrying 476 people, mostly secondary school students from Danwon High School, Ansan (304 passengers and crew members died).
