According to reports from Turkish media, Nemanja Petrić, the prominent Serbian outside hitter, is expected to spend the upcoming season in Ankara. The former captain of the Serbian men’s senior national team may soon become a new addition to the ranks of Spor Toto, a top-tier team in Turkey.
Reports from media outlets suggest that the team based in Ankara is keen on adding the experienced Serbian outside hitter to their squad. Petrić, who has been playing in Siena, Italy for the previous season, is expected to disclose his future career plans shortly.
Recently, Petrić made the decision to retire from the Serbian national team, a squad to which he has been a pivotal contributor since 2007. During his tenure, he reveled in the honor of wearing the Serbian national team’s jersey and epitomizing his country in 136 matches. His skills shone brightly at six European Championships, three World Championships, and he marked his presence at the World League a noteworthy ten times.
