Poland: Kądzioła and Szałankiewicz in the Institute for Mother and Child

Michał Kądzioła and Jakub Szałankiewicz came back to the country on Sunday, with the silver medal won during the CEV Satellite tournament in Aalsmeer. Today they departed to Athens on a training camp.

Still the players fund some time to visit children from the oncology department in the Institute for Mother and Child, in Warsaw.

Specially for their visit the hospital’s department has been changed into a ‘beach’, with beach towels, net, ball and the toys. 

The players talked to the children and answered their questions.

They also participated in many games.

The children also decided to check how do Michał and Kuba trust each other.

One of them had his eyes covered and the other had to walk his through the obstacle course.

The players presented their vocal and dancing talent.
 
At the end the players gave autographs on mini balls which have been given to every child.

The players made some photos with the children.

Michał Kądzioła and Jakub Szałankiewicz gave to the Herosi Foundation a sum of money won during the tournament in Aalsmeer, as well as their official national t-shirt with autographs which will be auctioned, together with two gold balls with the autograpfs from the children.
 
– Despite the serious illness, children surprised us with their nice attitude, detail questions and stories. They also engaged themselves to many competitions. At the end they also danced with us. – We hope to came back there, engage in such action and see the children next time!
