It seems they will attack the Olympic Games next season with full throttle. We hope the coronavirus will go away and let the organizers hold the Olympic Games 2021 in Tokyo.

Coronavirus has stopped the sport in the world including volleyball. Is this situation going to affect volleyball in some ways?

For sure, this virus affects the entire world and the global economy has been affected as well. We had to stop immediately the championship and there are some consequences for the clubs and the sponsors. Also for the players, we never stop our activities like this…“

You spent two previous seasons in Jastrzebski. How would you describe this experience?

It was a great experience in a great club like JSW. The first season was amazing with some difficult moments but it was a really good season! And the second season, we had a team to go really far but unfortunately for me, it was difficult because  I had injuries on my calf which I picked up during European championship.“

What are the best moments for you when we talk about your time in Jastrzebski Wegiel?

I had a lot of good times with JSW, but we can say when we won the Bronze medal! Good feelings with my teammates. I have to single out a great win this season in Kazan! It’s not easy to beat Zenit away.

The COVID 19 prevented volleyball leagues reach their end for the season 2019/2020. How far could Jastrzebski go in the previous season?

I think we had a chance to go until the end and make some great things! We had the capacity to play very well.“

What are your plans for the next season?

For now, I didn’t sign anywhere. Along with my agent Georges Matijasevic, we are discussing and making plans for the next season.“

Are you missing the games with the national team?

I miss volleyball and I miss my national team teammates. I can’t wait to play again with my friends.”

The Olympic Games are postponed for 2021. Is this good for the national team of France or not?

Postponing the Olympic Games was a logical move and the best decision. For sure, we preferred to play this summer like everybody. However, we have coronavirus and I think it’s much more important to stay healthy. We can play next year and I hope we will reach our goals and win the Olympic Games.“
