Natalia Mulaga Dibas, head coach of Peru: I’m very glad that we won today. As far as I’m concerned, Mexico is a strong team. We learned a lot from playing them. We will try to improve our game to take on Italy for our second match. Fortunately, we were the first team to arrive here and we could adjust what we wanted to. Two players in my team still have injury problem, but since they are young, I believe they can recover soon.”

Angela Leyva, team captain of Peru: “Mexico is a strong team. I’m happy that we can beat them to win the first match here. We will try to improve our game for the next match.”

Matias Estanislao Va, head coach of Mexico: “I’m glad that we played with a strong team like Peru. We lost today and we learned many things from this match. We will go and learn from the mistakes we made. We take next on Italy, the team we have never played before. We will try our best.”

Ivone Martinez, team captain of Mexico: “We made a lot of our mistakes in this match. We will come back for a better performance in our next match.”
