Brazil served with 7 successful team aces (3 by Francynne Jacintho and 2 by Glauciele Silva), while China had 6 (2 by Qi Wang, and 2 by setter and captain Di Yao).
Unforced errors made the difference and the South American team gave 34 points to China, that really surprised in the first set.
Outside Hitter Yanhan Lui and Middle Blocker Xiaoya Zhang were China’s best weapons, but also Opposite Qi Wang contributed to their team. Blocking game was strategic for the Chinese team and Zhang played hard on the net.
Ellen Braga and Gabriella Souza tried to do the hardest work for Brazil on the corners. The South American team recovered in the second set to stay in the match. Also tried to get a fast recovery in the fourth with the score 20-21, but failed to serve.
China had also some problems at the match point but the right block at the right time gave them the result and a 2-0 record, while the Brazilians are 1-1.
