He stated that there is a possibility that Leon could play for Poland in near future!
“Leon has been living in Poland and we know that after two years he can apply for the citizenship. Also, his girlfriend is Polish and everything indicates that he will therefore have a Polish wife, which can also help him with the citizenship. So, we do not exclude possibility that Leon will play for Poland one day. We have talked about it, but the whole process must be initiated by the Polish Volleyball Federation” said Grzyb and then added one more interesting info:
“Officials of the Turkish Volleyball Federation came to us three times with the proposal that Leon plays for Turkey. But, he rejected it decisively and said that if he will play for any other country apart from Cuba it will be Poland!”
