In the ninth World League match against Germany, Argentina finally achieved a victory, as the light-blue and white team also celebrated their first win in 2014 edition, by 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-21) in front of over 6,000 fans in Salta.

It was the first ever win for Argentina over Germany in World league.

Facundo Conte uncorked 17 points in an amazing display, placing atop of the scorers’ list. Teammates Rodrigo Quiroga and Maximiliano Gauna followed him with 11 and 10 points apiece, while Dirk Westphal turned out to be Germany’s most prolific scorer, with 11 tallies.

Pool D, standings:

France 8 (3), Germany 5 (3), Argentina 4 (3), Japan 1 (3).
