Argentina – Portugal

Juan Manuel Barrial, Argentina coach: “We are happy with the game of our young players. It was a very important match for us, because they have no experience and we came in Europe to gain some. For the last two weeks, we played some excellent matches and now we can return home and continue our preparation for London.

Rodrigo Quiroga, Argentina captain: “We are happy with this victory as it was a hard one. Portugal is a very good team and we played two sets under our level, but we managed to make fewer mistakes in the fifth set.

Flavio Gulinelli, Portugal coach: “We wanted so much our first victory in the tournament. We made a difficult start, because the players were nervous, but slowly we came back in the match. I think that in the middle of the match we played very well in both tactical and technical views.

Valdir Sequeira, Portugal player: “We were very nervous in the beginning and that is why we made a lot of mistakes. Later we started to play our game, but we did not have a lot of luck. We could have played the match better.
