Cruzeiro, the six-time Superliga champions, continued to use clubs in the country to promote players from their base categories even without signing official partnerships.

In the 2020/21 season, seven players trained in the Contagem club will defend the colors of Ribeirão, who had to cut the budget, all on loans.  In previous years, Cruzeiro partnered with Montes Claros, Juiz de Fora, and Lavras, which was interrupted by the pandemic.

Ribeirão embraced these youngsters to the roster: middle blockers Vicenzo Gherrard (18) and Guilherme Rech (19), outside hitters Marcos Vinicius Malta (17) and Bruno Marques (19), setter Ramon Duarte (16), libero Pedro Henrique Tomasi (19), and opposite hitter Luis Henrique Sousa (19).

They will work under the command of the head coach with one of the most successful résumés in Brazilian volleyball, Marcos Pacheco.
