In the final stages of recovering from her knee injury, she told at a news conference at the clubhouse about her expectations for the next season. For Mari, the choice of the Praia Clube was like entering into a happy marriage:
“I think this is like a happy wedding and I will certainly give a lot to the club. When I was still in Turkey, my agent commented on the possibility to come here and I liked it, so I asked him to maintain contact“.
Mari said about the new phase in her career that she expects both, to help younger players and to be helped by new teammates:
“It is a new challenge in my career, which is neither the beginning nor the end. Dealing with younger players will not be a problem, I really want to help. I will pass my experience, of course, but I will need help. I really believe that we will work as a group. “
Banana Boat/Praia Clube has almost closed their squad for the 2013/2014 season, leaving only to confirm who will be the new libero.
